A 17-year-old motorbike rider was killed in an incident involving a car and a group of bikes on the Shrewsbury-Welshpool route.
A 17-year-old boy was killed in a collision between a car and a gang of motorcycles.
The collision occurred on the A458 between Rowton Junction and Cardeston Park shortly after midnight on Sunday.

“The collision happened this morning (1 October) just after midnight when a grey Range Rover collided with a group of motorbikes,” a West Mercia Police spokesperson stated.

“One motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, and sadly, another, a 17-year-old, died at the scene.” His nearest of kin have been notified.

“Officers carrying out enquiries into the collision are appealing for witnesses, including any motorists on the road around the time of the collision with dash-cam footage.”

The road was closed for over 12 hours and did not reopen until after 1.20pm.

The incident number is 2-i-01102023 in the police log.
