very sad Blue Jays game starting man has been confirm dead just before…….

The Blue Jays return to the playoffs for the second straight year. This time, they’ll have a new Game 1 starter.

Kevin Gausman, who’s emerged as Toronto’s undisputed ace, will start against the Minnesota Twins, who counter with right-hander Pablo Lopez. Last year, the first playoff game against the Seattle Mariners was given to Alek Manoah.

The Jays are in their third MLB post-season in the past four years but have yet to win a series in the Vladimir Guerrero Jr.-Bo Bichette era. Their last playoff series win came in 2016.Royce Lewis rolls into postseason for Twins with homers in first 2 at-bats | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | chronicleonline.com

When Kevin Kiermaier’s slow roller snuck past the third baseman, Bichette ran through a stop sign from third-case coach Luis Rivera and tried to score from second.

He was gunned out at home by shortstop Carlos Correa, ending the inning. Had he stopped at second, the bases would have been loaded with two outs for Guerrero.

The Star’s Mike Wilner called it “an error of aggression.”

Bo Bichette’s single with one out in the fourth inning was Toronto’s first of the game.
