Revealed: Door opens for West Ham to sign London star in January

West Ham and Smith Rowe have a new opportunity.
According to Football Insider, Premier League clubs will be interested in West Ham summer target Emile Smith Rowe if he departs Arsenal.

The Irons and Chelsea both expressed interest in a late-window deal for the 23-year-old in August, according to Football Insider.
However, a deal for Smith Rowe fell through, and he will remain an Arsenal player until January, when the door may open for interested parties such as West Ham.
Smith Rowe is contemplating his options, according to Football Insider (2 October), despite his persistent lack of involvement at Arsenal.

Arsenal

If further additions arrive in the following windows, both the club and the player may conclude it is time to move on.

According to insiders, the Gunners could accept a £35-40 million bid for the England international, who has three years left on his contract, during the summer transfer window.
In the 2023-24 season, the midfielder has played 115 minutes in five appearances.

Arsenal is exploring more additions in the January transfer window, which would put the right-footer even lower down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

A slew of Premier League clubs are expected to rush on Smith Rowe if he becomes available in 2024.

Arsenal

Smith Rowe did not appear in a single senior game for Arsenal during the club’s injury-plagued 2022-23 season, but he did score 10 Premier League goals the previous season to establish his credentials at the highest level.

He assisted England’s Under-21 team to victory at the European Championships earlier this year, but he also has four senior caps for the Three Lions, scoring one.

In other news, discussions between Liverpool and Jarrod Bowen have begun.
