Collingwood has parted ways with Jack Ginnivan in a deal with Hawthorn.

Collingwood has said farewell to Jack Ginnivan in a deal with Hawthorn.

In exchange for Ginnivan, the Club receives pick 33 in the forthcoming 2023 AFL National Draft, as well as a potential second and third selection. Hawthorn also gains pick 39 in this year’s draft, as well as a future second and fourth round pick.

Ginnivan was selected by Collingwood at pick 13 in the 2020 AFL National Rookie Draft and has played 42 games and scored 58 goals since making his debut in Round 19 against Port Adelaide in 2021.

Ginnivan was a member of the Club’s Premiership-winning squad this year, featuring in 14 games.

Collingwood Football General Manager Graham Wright congratulated Ginnivan for his contribution to the club.

“We appreciate and accept Jack’s decision to seek further opportunity at Hawthorn,” Wright said in a statement.

“Over the last three years, Jack has made significant contributions, including being a member of the 2023 Premiership team, which he will always be a part of.”

“Jack is still only 20 years old and has a long career ahead of him.”

“On behalf of everyone at Collingwood we wish him well in all his future endeavours.”
