Kelce told Travis, his brother who wants to go to space, that he can’t even swim in the ocean.

During the most recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce recalled leaving his wife Kylie in the middle of the ocean while a man was being attacked by a shark. The NFL star also explained why he yelled at Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damone Clark.

Jason Kelce's Response to Being a "Sexiest Man Alive" Finalist

Kelce, 36, was telling his brother Travis, who wants to go to space, that he is afraid to even go in the ocean because of the 1975 film “Jaws.” The Eagles center then recalled how Kylie convinced him to go paddleboarding in Maui, only for his worst nightmare to come true.

When the incident occurred, he and the Kelce family were in Maui on their way to Hawaii for the NFL Pro Bowl, which featured Travis. The man’s paddleboard, according to the 2018 Super Bowl winner, had a “full-on bite print.”

Jason described how he was having difficulty staying on the board while being 50 to 75 yards from the shore, but nothing could stop him from paddling when the shark attack occurred.

“I high-tailed it in reverse,” Jason explained. “I never ask questions.” I’m not going to ask any questions. ‘Shark!’ yelled this motherf—er. I’m heading inland! ‘Where are you going, J?’ Kylie asks. I didn’t even say anything. I simply kept going straight. “I was in complete panic mode.”

Jason Kelce clears the air about the viral screaming incident
Travis said the least he could do while paddling away was relay the “shark” message to Jason, who admitted Kylie wasn’t happy with him. Everyone, including the man whose board was bitten, made it to shore safely.

The Eagles veteran also clarified the viral screaming incident from Sunday’s win over the Cowboys.
