Good News: Wolves has made a move for ‘a born goalscorer’

Wolves has made a move for ‘a born goalscorer’

Wolves have reportedly considered a January transfer window move for West Ham United striker Danny Ings.

Wanderers are not anticipated to spend much money this month as the club monitors their finances following the summer, although Gary O’Neil is said to be desperate for a new center forward.

Fabio Silva has already left the club on loan to join Rangers, and Sasa Kalajdzic could follow him out the door.

Che Adams has been suggested as a possible candidate, but there is now speculation that Danny Ings may be a target…

With Wolves not having much money to spend this month, the emphasis will be on finding players who can provide quality while not breaking the budget.

According to the Telegraph, internal discussions about the 31-year-old have taken place.

It is believed that Ings has been considered in prior windows, but a move this month is now viewed as ‘unlikely’.

This despite Ings’ struggles for playing time this season, particularly in the Premier League.

Ings has made 17 appearances in all competitions, but has only played 408 minutes. David Moyes prefers to play Jarrod Bowen or Michail Antonio in the middle, thus only 133 of those minutes have occurred in the league.

Wolves should set sights higher

Some Wolves supporters would not be surprised if the club signed Ings this month.

Declan Rice (whufc.com) formerly labeled him as a “born goalscorer,” but in recent times, Ings has struggled in front of goal – he has failed to score this season and only three for the Hammers since joining a year ago.

Wolves may not have much money to spend, but surely they can find someone more productive than Ings. According to the Telegraph’s story, they appear to be looking at other players right now.

If O’Neil can bring in the right man, it might mean the difference between a push for the European places and slipping back down the table.
