Another vacancy on the coaching staff needs to be filled by Rams coach Sean McVay.
People with knowledge of the situation who were not authorized to speak publicly said that Zac Robinson, the quarterbacks coach for the Rams, will join the Atlanta Falcons as their offensive coordinator.
Robinson’s hiring has not been made public by the Falcons, so the individuals asked to remain anonymous.
The 37-year-old Robinson, who spent four seasons as an assistant coach for the Rams, will get back together with Raheem Morris, the defensive coordinator for the Rams who was recently appointed head coach of the Falcons.
In 2019, Jared Goff was the starting quarterback for the Rams, and Robinson served as his assistant coach. He took over as quarterbacks coach from Kevin O’Connell in 2022, and he has been working with Matthew Stafford for the past two seasons.
Stafford played through hip and thumb injuries this season, recovered from a 2022 season-ending injury, and guided the Rams to the postseason.
