Wolves ace confident of one thing about Wolves under O’Neill compared to other managers.

Wolves boss O'Neil would be 'very surprised' if Liverpool do not challenge City, Arsenal for Prem title

Max Kilman believes that the current Wolves team is the most offensive he has played for since joining the club.

Wanderers are having a fantastic season despite shedding a lot of key players last summer and losing Julen Lopetegui only days before the new season begins.

Gary O’Neil replaced Lopetegui and may have predicted Wolves’ relegation or difficulties this season.

But he’s been a breath of fresh air, and Wolves’ success this season is due in part to the team finally scoring goals and being more ruthless in the final third.

Wolves have 37 Premier League goals to date. This is already six more than they managed over the entire previous season.

Kilman, who spoke on the radio about Wolves’ season, believes this is the most offensive Wolves team he has ever been a part of.

Quite unexpected': Max Kilman now reacts after news coming out of Wolves

Kilman appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily broadcast yesterday to discuss the season so far and why things have been clicking.

The centre-back lauded O’Neil, believing that his tremendous focus is a major factor for their success thus far.

Kilman was also questioned about the progress in attack, with Matheus Cunha, Pedro Neto, and Hwang Hee-chan all playing key roles this season.

The 26-year-old is certain that he is now playing in Wolves’ most offensive squad since his arrival in 2018.

He replied, “100%.” Obviously, when Nuno was the manager a few seasons back, Wolves had a strong offensive style and scored many goals. But now, I believe we’re playing better offensive football and creating far more opportunities. “The returns have been good.”

One of the most impressive things O’Neil has done since taking over is to increase Wolves’ goal scoring. Because this was perhaps the most serious issue Wolves have faced since returning to the Premier League.

Wolves struggled to score consistently under Bruno Lage, Julen Lopetegui, and, at times, Nuno Espirito Santo.

Lage and Lopetegui prioritized being hard to defeat over being expansive, free-flowing, and expressive.

Wolves were unpleasant to watch under past managers, but O’Neil has the squad playing some fantastic football and has set up the team in a way that allows fast flair players like Cunha, Neto, and Hwang to thrive.

Finally, football is entertainment, and for the first time in a long time, the Wolves are actually enjoyable to watch.
