Celtics key player has been ruled out ahead of the Nuggets showdown.

The Celtics and Nuggets will face battle in a potential NBA Finals preview Thursday night at Ball Arena in Denver.

After losing their 11-game winning run Tuesday night in Cleveland, the Boston Celtics must swiftly turn their attention to a potential NBA Finals preview.

They will face the Denver Nuggets for the second time this season on Thursday night at Ball Arena, the second stop on a five-game road trip.

The hosts defeated Boston in their first encounter, which came down to the final possession, 102-100.

If the Celtics want to exact revenge on the team that handed them their first loss at TD Garden this season after 20 straight wins on the court, they may have to overcome Jaylen Brown’s absence.

They classify the three-time All-Star as questionable for the game due to a sacroiliac strain.

The Mayo Clinic characterizes the injury as follows:

“A painful condition involving one or both sacroiliac joints. These joints are located where the lower spine and pelvis connect. Sacroiliitis can produce discomfort and stiffness in the buttocks or lower back, which may radiate down one or both legs.

After a collision with Draymond Green left Jaylen Brown clutching his left knee before continuing in Sunday’s 52-point thrashing of the Golden State Warriors, Boston initially listed him as questionable for Tuesday’s game against Cleveland due to a left knee injury.

The 2022 All-NBA Second Team selection had 21 points and four assists in the Celtics’ 105-104 loss to the Cavaliers.

The Celtics have already ruled out Neemias Queta, who hyperextended his right knee while playing for their G League affiliate last Friday.

Joe Mazzulla stated at his pregame press conference prior of Sunday’s game against Golden State, “I know he’s doing well. I believe he received positive benefits from it. “It’s nothing serious,” he says, adding that he expects to be absent for about a week or two.
