Texas Longhorns has finally revealed the QB who will throw at Pro Day.

Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers will throw at Texas Pro Day.

Despite returning for another season, Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers will participate in the traditional Pro Day later this week.

The Texas Longhorns are returning quarterback Quinn Ewers for his senior season as the club moves to the SEC.

Before that, he’ll spend one more afternoon throwing to Adonai Mitchell, Ja’Tavion Sanders, Jordan Whittington, and Xavier Worthy, who will all begin their NFL careers next season.

According to On3, Ewers will throw at the Texas Pro Day on March 20. It will be an opportunity for Mitchell and Worthy to further improve their first-round draft stock before the April 25 showcase in Detroit. However, it will also serve as a practice run for Ewers before he declares for the draft in 2025.

Last season, Ewers was the offensive glue that powered the Longhorns to their first Big 12 championship since 2009. He threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns, setting career highs for completion percentage (69%) and passer rating (158.6). Ewers caught fire in the Big 12 Championship game against Oklahoma State, setting a conference title record of 452 yards and four touchdowns.

In the College Football Playoff semifinal against Washington, Ewers threw for 318 yards and one score in a 37-31 loss. He also carried for 54 yards on eight carries, almost completing the comeback after trailing by 13 in the fourth quarter.

Worthy and Mitchell lead the Texas receivers following their performances at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Mitchell, who spent one season in Austin after winning back-to-back championships at Georgia, ran a 4.34 40 and had a 39.5-inch vertical jump.

Worthy, however, stole the event and made NFL history. After running the quickest 40-time of the week in 4.25 seconds, Worthy decided to go again, breaking John Ross’ 4.22 record with a 4.21-second finish.

Since setting the record, Worthy has received congratulations from players throughout the league, including former All-Pro receiver DeSean Jackson, Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis, and three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes. Worthy models his game after Tyreek Hill, a former Kansas City Chiefs and current Miami Dolphins speedster.

Worthy has been connected to the Chiefs in several mock selections due to his speed. Kansas City has been without a vertical threat since selling away the All-Pro in 2022, but they recently signed former Oklahoma standout Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a one-year contract of up to $11 million.

“In a perfect world, I would definitely want to go to the Chiefs,” Worthy told USA Today Sports. “Just like Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs innovate and utilize you. They had Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I think that would be a great fit for me.”

Ewers will still have speed returning for the 2024 season with the additions of Oregon State transfer Silas Bolden and Houston transfer Matthew Golden. Texas also has former 2023 standout Johntay Cook starting his sophomore season.

Other notable players working out at Texas’ Pro Day include defensive linemen Byron Murphy and T’Vondre Sweat, linebacker Jaylan Ford, offensive lineman Christian Jones, running back/kick returner Keilan Robinson, defensive back Ryan Watts, and Whittington, among others.
