PL Giant are pushing hard to sign another Wolves’ star player

Manchester United are looking for a £40 million-rated Wolves star to replace Casemiro.

Manchester United will be busy throughout the summer transfer window. The Reds intend to sell some players to create place for newcomers.

One player with an uncertain future is Brazil international Casemiro, who should be replaced with a younger holding midfielder.

Casemiro joined United for £70 million in August 2022, but the former Real Madrid player has struggled this season, sparking additional suspicion that he would be replaced at the conclusion of the season.

According to The Mirror, United are considering a deal for Wolves’ £40 million-rated midfielder Joao Gomes.

Gomes, who has been scouted by Manchester United multiple times this season, could be in line to replace his fellow Brazilian at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old joined Wolves for £12 million from Flamengo in January 2023, and he is poised to make his debut for Brazil against Gareth Southgate’s side at Wembley on Saturday.

United and Brazil were both handed a setback last weekend when Casemiro suffered a new hamstring injury. As a result, he missed the FA Cup quarter-finals victory over Liverpool (4-3) and the March internationals.

Tottenham and Newcastle are rumored to be interested in signing Gomes.

According to the report, Wolves have already began looking for a replacement in case they decide to move Gomes.
