BREAKING NEWS: NRL has suspended three Penrith panthers players due to some issues….

Kenny was allowed to play in Penrith’s World Club Challenge loss to Wigan last weekend while the NRL completed its investigation into the post-Christmas post, after which he was hit with a breach notice.

That investigation is now compete and it’s understood the NRL has imposed a one-game ban and a $10,000 fine. It means Kenny will miss Penrith’s first match of the season against the Storm next Friday.

The penalty will be confirmed this week, with half of his $10,000 fine to be suspended for 12 months.

It’s understood Penrith successfully asked the NRL to impose the ban during the season instead of Kenny missing the game in England.

Kenny was hit with the breach notice in February after the NRL’s integrity unit investigated his post.

“Couple Boxing Day lines have got me in trouble,” the post read on Kenny’s Instagram account along with a selfie.

He then tried to distance himself from the post.

“Happy New Year guys. Enjoy and ignore trolls who grabbed my phone. Happy New Year,” he later wrote on his page.

But the NRL found him guilty of a breach of the NRL Code of Conduct.

Cowboys star Valentine Holmes was also fined and suspended for one game for a social media post last September that showed him holding a small bag containing white powder that he said was a joke gone wrong.

Luke Sommerton and Soni Luke spent time at dummy half last year in Kenny’s absence. Kenny will be right to play for Penrith in their round 2 game against arch rivals Parramatta.
