A NORTH Adelaide Football Club trainer has died following the Roosters’ season-opening SANFL match against Central District.
A NORTH Adelaide Football Club trainer has died following the Roosters’ season-opening SANFL match against Central District.
The club staff member was entering the away team changerooms at Elizabeth Oval on Friday about 10 minutes after the game when he collapsed near the entrance.
Two ambulances were called to the scene, where paramedics performed CPR on the trainer.
He passed away about an hour after the match.
Roosters players and coaching staff remained on the oval following the game while the long-term North servant received treatment.
Team members were visibly distraught as news of his death was relayed to them.
Roosters officials were too shocked to comment.
The trainer had undergone heart surgery about a month ago.
