Arkansas basketball announces signing of former Kentucky 7-2 center Zvonimir Ivisic

The University of Arkansas announced former Kentucky freshman big man Zvonimir Ivisic signed with Razorbacks Coach John Calipari on Wednesday.

Ivisic reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 13. He verbally committed to Arkansas on Monday.

“Big Z!! I’m so excited to see how good he can become when he finally gets a full summer and preseason to practice with our team,” Calipari posted to social media following the announcement.

Ivisic, 7-2 and 234 pounds, of Vodice, Croatia, played the second half of the season for the Wildcats after being declared eligible Jan. 20. He averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 11 minutes per game.

He had 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist and 1 steal during a 111-102 win over Arkansas on March 2 in Lexington, Ky.

On3.com rated Ivisic the No. 38 player in the transfer portal.

Ivisic, who turns 21 in August, averaged 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game in the FIBA U20 European Championship for Croatia while shooting 34% from three-point range.

He’s the first commitment and signee at Arkansas for Calipari, who was hired April 10.
