The college football transfer has impacted the game in many ways, with the focus on providing a path for student-athletes to seek the opportunity that best fits their abilities and needs. It is now expected that college programs will say goodbye to a few players from its spring roster while also welcoming new roster additions via the portal.
“I just think the college landscape has changed quite a bit,” head coach Jeff Brohm said earlier this year. “Yes, it will continue to probably adapt, moving forward, even more. but we just try to figure it out and make the most of it. From our end, I think you’ve always got to be ready for roster change.”
During the prior winter cycle, Louisville saw 18 players depart via the transfer portal, while adding more than two dozen to its depth chart.
