Manchester City are reportedly regarded as the frontrunners to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland.

With a release clause in his contract becoming active in the summer, the 21-year-old will not be short of opportunities to move to a bigger club.

According to Cadena Ser, the Premier League leaders are most likely to get a deal for the Norway international over the line.

The report claims that Real Madrid also remain a realistic destination for Haaland, albeit not this summer with the addition of Kylian Mbappe taking priority.

Los Blancos would allegedly prefer Haaland to spend another 12 months at the Westfalenstadion before moving to the Bernabeu in 2023.

As it stands, that appears highly unlikely, but Dortmund are known to be willing to hand their key man fresh terms over the coming months
