All the latest events rounded together as the Whites midfielder has been linked to a move to a number of Europe’s genuinely elite clubs already this summer
Manchester City has earmarked him as their number one midfield target this summer as they look to replace the outgoing Fernandinho.
But it appears that PSG has joined the race as well, as the French champions are apparently planning a midfield makeover this summer. This means that they are no longer alone in their quest.

In recent weeks, the standout midfielder for the Whites has been linked to Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
The offers, however, were reportedly rejected because Liverpool is hesitant to recruit new players who will initially earn more than the club does in wages.
According to the Daily Mirror, PSG has made an official approach to Leeds for Phillips, who might be ready to leave Elland Road this summer.
The Athletic reports that Southampton and Leeds are both keeping an eye on 18-year-old defensive midfielder Lavia.
Potentially on the move are Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Nathan Ake, and Ilkay Gundogan.
Jesse Marsch’s midfield lynchpin is one of the top objectives at the Etihad and, when City come knocking, they seldom go away empty-handed.
Their suggested offer has fallen far short of what the 17-year-old and his representatives were anticipating due to the financial difficulties that the Spanish giants are still experiencing.
That possible move wouldn’t necessarily kill their ambitions of persuading Phillips to make a similar move, though, as he played a more advanced midfield position than Phillips.
They are the Premier League winners, and if you consider the caliber of their team and the fact that they compete for every domestic and European trophy every season, you can see how much money he could make there and how much of a boost his international career would receive.
