Fiorentina’s stance on Nico has been disclosed amid Leicester and Atletico Madrid rumours.

According to multiple Italian media reports, Fiorentina has not received an official offer for Nico Gonzalez, but they are unwilling to trade the Argentine winger in any case.

Leicester City reportedly offered €34 million to buy the 24-year-old on Tuesday, according to Sky Sport Italia. Coach Vincenzo Italiano, however, did not confirm the English approach, as both Gazzetta and Il Corriere Dello Sport quote club sources as indicating that the Tuscans had not received official bids.

Both papers say that Fiorentina does not want to sell Nico and will reject any approach made during the current transfer window. Atletico Madrid is also interested in the Argentine winger, according to Il Corriere Fiorentino, but Fiorentina’s stance will not change.

Despite being plagued by injuries this season, Nico has managed five goals in 11 appearances, one per 82 minutes. After being named to Lionel Scaloni’s 26-man squad list, he was forced to withdraw owing to injury.

He signed the Tuscans from Stuttgart in the summer of 2021 for €24 million plus add-ons, and his contract at the Stadio Franchi expires in June 2026.
