Liverpool defender Rhys Williams is likely to complete a loan move to Swansea, The Athletic understands.
A deal for the 20-year-old, who made 19 first-team appearances last season, is currently being negotiated between the two clubs.
It is thought the Championship club will present an opportunity for the central defender to build on his impressive 2020-21 campaign where he stepped up in the absence of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
Following the arrival of Ibrahima Konate earlier in the summer it means a similar repeat of game time for Williams would be unlikely this term.
Williams, who is an England youth international, has made just one appearance so far this season and that came during Liverpool Under-23s win at Everton.
