Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has overseen an inconsistent start to the new Premier League season.

Manchester United’s owners the Glazers and Ed Woodward are both in support of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the club’s recent poor form, according to reports. The 48-year-old has overseen defeats to Young Boys, West Ham and Aston Villa in the last couple of weeks. And that’s despite a good summer of strong investment at Old Trafford.

Manchester United went into the new campaign on a high after the signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

And, when Cristiano Ronaldo returned from Juventus on transfer deadline day, it had many tipping them for the Premier League title.

Ronaldo’s first game back was a good one, with the club winning 4-1 against Newcastle on a day where Old Trafford was raucous.
