Our predicted MUFC XI for our game vs Villareal is now in, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needing a win here.

Manchester United are in a bit of a slump. Three losses in four games across multiple competitions will leave our Baby Faced Assassin feeling concerned.

Going into a massive Champions League encounter against Villareal, nothing but a victory will suffice, particularly after our humiliating defeat against Young Boys in match-week one.

Revenge is on our minds. Villareal bested us in the Europa League final and we have a real opportunity to make that right here. However, United will likely have to do it without two of their key players – as both Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw were subbed off with an injury on Saturday. Anyway, with that in mind, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

David de Gea will keep his place in between the sticks, despite the fact that Dean Henderson is now fit again.

The back four looks different. Diogo Dalot will be included in place of the suspended Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Over in the left-back slot, Alex Telles will come in for the aforementioned Shaw. Raphael Varane will play, as will Victor Lindelof, in a back two that has some potential.

Nemanja Matic will slot into that defensive midfield role, with Bruno Fernandes starting after his penalty miss at the weekend. Donny van de Beek deserves his chance at the heart of our midfield.

Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the line. He knows our opponents well having spent a decade in Spain taking on these guys twice a season. Paul Pogba will start, as will Mason Greenwood, in a team that still can hurt any defence in the world.
