Liverpool reportedly make offer for brilliant play-maker; Klopp on alert

According to El Nacional, Liverpool, Juventus, Arsenal, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund have all made offers to Marco Asensio as Real Madrid could sell him in January.

The Merseysiders are on red alert regarding the Spanish play-maker’s situation in the capital and are reportedly ready to sign him if Los Blancos decide to sell.

Asensio is considering leaving Real Madrid as he has played just 377 minutes this season and has offers from Liverpool and four other sides in three different leagues.

Would Asensio be a good option for Liverpool?

I honestly don’t know. It all depends on how hard he is willing to work, as Liverpool’s system under Jurgen Klopp doesn’t have any passengers and even Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah work incredibly hard for the team.

There is no room for luxury players but, if the Spaniard was willing to put in the work and press high up the pitch, he could become an incredible player under Jurgen Klopp.

He has blessed with a wand of a left foot. Cliched, I know, but when Asensio burst onto the scene at the Bernabeu his technique on his left side was so good that it genuinely drew attention away from Cristiano Ronaldo in a season in which the Portuguese icon scored 44 goals for Real Madrid.

FSG might actually be tempted by Asensio

Transfermarkt suggests that he is worth £31.5million and, with just over a year left on his contract, Michael Edwards might be able to get that down closer to £25million.

Asensio is still only 25 and, with Liverpool in need of an attacker in January, it might just be that the wantaway Real Madrid star ticks all the boxes for FSG.
