Manchester City have been linked with Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix in the upcoming January transfer window, as Ferran Torres inches towards a move to Barcelona

Manchester City have been widely tipped to move for a new striker in the January transfer window – and a new name appears to have entered the ring in the last few days.

Super agent Jorge Mendes is said to have approached the club about signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

It comes amid reports that City have “lowered their demands” for forward Ferran Torres, who has been linked with a January move to Barcelona.

And Man City are reportedly “preparing” an offer for a centre-back who is currently on the books at a direct Premier League rival.

Here are all the latest Man City transfer rumours.

City “lower demands”

Ferran Torres’ switch to Barcelona appears to be easing closer following reports City have “lowered their demands” for the forward.

Spanish news outlet Sport claims the two clubs are “still negotiating” over Torres, who is now the “main objective” for Barcelona in the January transfer window.

It adds that Barcelona’s failure to qualify from the group stages of the Champions League has “accelerated contact between the two clubs” as they try to negotiate a deal for Torres.

But Barca must sell in order to free up space in their wage bill before being able to bring the player in, it is added.

Agent “contacts club”

Super agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly “been in contact for days” with Man City as he tries to push for a Premier League move for his client Joao Felix.

Felix has found himself marginalised at Atletico Madrid this season and could seek a move elsewhere.

And Calcio Mercato reports that Pep Guardiola may “give it a try” to sign the Portuguese forward in the upcoming January transfer window.

Manchester City are said to be “preparing” a January move for Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.

Rudiger’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season and with no new deal in sight, it appears he may be set to leave the club.

According to 90min [via Sports Illustrated ], City have joined the race for the player’s signature, with Chelsea “resigned” to losing the Germany international.
