The report states that the Reds currently lead the race to sign the 22-year-old. Lunin’s contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The report further adds that Liverpool want the Ukraine international to be their new No.3 goalkeeper. Adrian currently holds the aforementioned position, but the 35-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season.
Lunin possesses a current market value of €2 million. Liverpool do possess a number of young goalkeepers (Alisson, Caoimhin Kelleher and Marcelo Pitaluga).
Therefore, we would be surprised if the Reds were to make a move for Lunin in the near future.
However, we strongly believe that you can never have too many good players on your list.
Footage of Lunin highlights that he is a very promising goalkeeper.
With that being the case, we would not be against Liverpool making a move for the youngster.
Only time will tell if the Reds are genuinely interested in signing Lunin.
