Man Utd in concrete discussions to sign £50million star

Manchester United have been in search of a quality midfielder for quite some time. Once again, the Old Trafford club are linked with Yves Bissouma and reports suggest that they are in concrete discussions to sign him.

The likes of Fred and McTominay are not good enough to help us challenge for the Premier League title, Matic is past his best and Pogba will be free to leave in the summer.

Transfer: Man Utd willing to agree £192,000-a-week star signing before deadline – Report

In such a scenario, the Red Devils must strengthen their midfield department and they should do it before the end of tonight’s transfer deadline.

According to RTL France journalist, Fabrice Hawkins, Man Utd are in intense talks to sign the Mali international from the Seagulls, who are asking for a fee of 45 million euros for their prized asset.

The 25-year-old star’s current deal with Brighton will expire in the summer of 2023 and therefore, they will not be able to get a decent fee next summer.

On 9th January, The Athletic talked about United’s interest in the central midfielder and claimed that the Falmer Stadium outfit will allow the African to leave in the middle of the campaign if a bid of £50million arrives.

Bissouma is arguably one of the best midfielders in the PL and recently, former footballers like Pennant and Barnes have heavily praised the former Ligue 1 man (via The Mirror).

In your view, should Man Utd move to seal his signing before the closure of the transfer window?
