Liverpool is poised to sign Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho – and he has admitted that the rumors have been affecting his displays.

The Reds were desperate to sign Carvalho in January but ran out of time to get a deal done and deadline day.

Liverpool hasn’t given up though and now appears ready to bring the teenager to Anfield after all.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Carvalho’s move to Liverpool is all done and agreed with a medical ‘already completed’.

The 19-year-old is out of contract this summer but Liverpool was keen to avoid a tribunal. For that reason, they have directly agreed on a deal with Fulham.

Carvalho will be heading straight into the Liverpool first-team setup next season and there is real excitement around him.

Carvalho scored in Fulham’s 3-0 win over Preston North End on Tuesday night. Going up against Liverpool loanee Sepp van den Berg, Carvalho managed to find the net in a comfortable win.

That result means Fulham has now won promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The Portuguese playmaker has now bagged nine goals and seven assists in 32 league outings this season.

Creative, skillful, and with the end product to match, Carvalho looks set to become a star of the future at Liverpool.

Now, Carvalho has admitted that the months of rumors about his future have affected him.

Carvalho has told Fulham’s official matchday program, as quoted by The Express, that he is obviously aware of all the stories.

The teenager has been trying not to let it affect him but has found it difficult as he is ‘only human’ at the end of the day.

Carvalho promised to give his all for Fulham, but with promotion secured he can now start to look forward to an exciting future with Liverpool.

“I’ve tried not to let it affect me but I’m only human,” said Carvalho. “I’m obviously aware of those stories, even if it’s only subconsciously. I think it has affected me a bit. But what I can say is that I’m determined to keep working hard for Fulham. Whenever I step out onto the pitch wearing a Fulham shirt, I will give it my all. As far as the future goes, whatever happens, happens. My focus is on the here and now,” he added.
