Worryingly, the speculation about Sadio Mane leaving Liverpool is only getting stronger.

In recent weeks, Mane has been linked with a summer move to Bayern Munich.

Speaking ahead of the Champions League final with Real Madrid this weekend, the 30-year-old, a £30 million signing in 2016, claimed that he would decide his future after the clash in Paris.

The Senegal international has been arguably Liverpool’s best player in 2022, netting 23 goals overall this season.

But with his contract expiring in 2023, there’s a genuine chance of him leaving. And according to Sport 1, Mane is indeed ‘intends to leave rather than stay at Anfield this summer.

The German publication has added that a ‘lack of financial appreciation’ is a leading factor in his decision to quit Liverpool, with the player earning £100,000 per week [Spotrac] – half what Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Thiago Alcantara are making on Merseyside.

IS SADIO MANE LEAVING LIVERPOOL?

Unfortunately, it’s a possibility for sure.

That’s because, in addition to Bayern, Real Madrid was also reported earlier this week to be interested in the player, while Sport 1 added that Paris Saint-Germain is keen as well.

These are some of Europe’s biggest clubs, and continental powerhouses who can make Mane feel a lot more appreciated financially if that’s his main gripe.

So yes, Liverpool supporters should absolutely be worried.

The former Southampton attacker has already proven his worth to the Reds in a massive way this season, but is it too little, too late to keep him?

Time will tell.
