Liverpool have already completed deals for Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, and Calvin Ramsay during the current summer transfer window.

One other figure that has been mentioned with a move to Anfield this summer is Christopher Nkunku.

However, there have been reports that the RB Leipzig star will be staying at the German club and signing a new contract.

This could effectively end any hopes the Reds had of bringing him aboard this summer.

Should this turn out to be the case, another figure who has been linked with the Merseyside club and could be their own version of Nkunku is Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.

According to Football Transfers, the Leipzig star leads the list of players in a similar vein to the American, highlighting the two figures’ connection.

It’s easy to see why, with the duo’s attacking abilities in terms of scoring and creating goals highlighting their similarities.

For example, the American has 44 goals and 44 assists in 241 senior appearances for Chelsea and his previous club, Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, in 134 appearances for Leipzig, the Frenchman has scored 47 goals and provided 46 assists.

The fact that Sadio Mane is expected to be announced as a Bayern Munich player in the coming days could pave the way for the Reds to launch a move for the Chelsea winger and thus replace the Senegalese winger.

According to Thomas Tuchel, Pulisic is a player who is “hungry to score and arrive in the box.” He is currently earning £150,000 per week at the west London club.

Another intriguing aspect of Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic’s ability on the field is that Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo stated last year that Pulisic is the most difficult opponent he has faced.

As a result, if Jurgen Klopp feels the need to add some attacking power to his squad, securing a deal for the Chelsea star could be a wise move by the Merseyside club.
