CHELSEA CHASING 22 YEARS OLD JUVENTUS PLAYER

Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso may also leave Stamford Bridge this summer, joining Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen who have already left the club. With reports linking Matthijs de Ligt to a transfer from Juventus to Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel is now pleading for defensive reinforcements.

According to sources in Italy, Chelsea is considering signing Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League team is seeking to replace Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, who left Stamford Bridge this summer after their respective contracts expired.

The departure of fellow defenders Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta would leave a void at the back, and incoming owner Todd Boehly might oversee a hiring drive to strengthen the defense.

De Ligt, a Dutch international, has a £103 million release clause in his two-year deal with Juventus, and the Italian club is rumored to demand close to that much in order to release him.
The 22-year-old joined Juventus from Ajax in 2019 for a fee of €75 million, paid over five years. During a challenging time for the team, he has made 87 league appearances.

In the upcoming days, Juventus is anticipated to announce the signing of midfielder Paul Pogba. They may also add Angel Di Maria, another free agent after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

Romelu Lukaku is expected to increase his own transfer market activities as he returns to Inter Milan on loan.
