26-year-old attacker to be sold by Manchester United for £20 million

Given the uncertainty surrounding Anthony Martial’s future at Old Trafford, Manchester United is allegedly prepared to sell the Frenchman for roughly £20 million.
Anthony Martial, who Manchester United is prepared to trade for about £20 million, may be willing to take a significant fall, according to The Sun. After a disastrous loan stint at Sevilla, the 26-year-old Frenchman’s form has dramatically declined over the past two years, and he has been unable to win over prospective suitors.

The arrival of Erik ten Hag has marked the start of a new era at Manchester United, however the new manager has not yet made any firm decisions on his team. The team needs to address a number of issues, including the acquisition of new players and the sale of undesirable ones.

Manchester United has significant summer business to complete and may hold off on adding new players in order to dispose existing ones. For example, Eric Bailly is slated to leave the team, along with others like Anthony Martial.

With 23 goals throughout all competitions in the 2019–20 season, Martial appeared to have found terrific form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The French forward was only able to score eight goals in the following two years while playing for Manchester United.

His willingness to leave Manchester United last January suggested that his time there was up and that the club would be interested in selling him permanently. Martial, though, struggled while on loan at Sevilla, scoring just once during his tenure at the Andalusian club.

The Premier League powerhouses are interested in offsetting his salary from their books this summer and are open to proposals. Martial’s two-year, £240,000 per week contract, though, makes it challenging for Manchester United to entice bids for the 26-year-old attacker.
