To outbid Arsenal for a striker with “incredible potential” for £35 million, West Ham make contact.

Gianluca Scamacca is wanted by West Ham, and the club has reached out to try and get the Sassuolo striker amid rumors that Arsenal is interested.

In order to give Michail Antonio additional assistance in the final third, the Hammers are on the hunt for a striker this summer.

Amazingly, Sebastien Haller was sold back in January 2021 and hasn’t really been replaced since.

Haller, who is already in route from Ajax to Borussia Dortmund, is really on the verge of completing his own transfer before West Ham has even found a replacement.

West Ham is reportedly interested in Sassuolo hitman Scamacca, making him an intriguing target over in Italy.

According to 90Min, West Ham and Sassuolo have already chatted about the possibility of bringing Scamacca to East London.

In what may be a double deal, West Ham also wants to sign Giacomo Raspadori, a teammate of Scamacca’s from Sassuolo.

In 36 Serie A games last season, Scamacca, 23, scored 16 goals. It’s important to note that just 25 of those appearances were as a starter.

The Italian poses a significant goal-scoring threat in numerous ways.

Scamacca is a monster who is 6 feet 5 inches tall. In addition to being enormous and strong, as one might imagine, Scamacca also has a deft touch.

Scamacca, who is supported for a bright future, has been dubbed as having “great potential” in Italy.

With Arsenal potentially left in the cold, West Ham may now attempt an audacious raid for Scamacca.

In a deal for over £35 million, technical director Edu wants to bring Scamacca to Arsenal, according to a 90Min report from earlier this month.

Arsenal is also interested in Gabriel Jesus, although West Ham might make a significant move to East London and remove Scamacca from the market.

Given Sassuolo’s asking price, a deal won’t be simple, but West Ham might suddenly add the ideal goalscoring threat to relieve some of Antonio’s strain.
