Liverpool have been linked with Yeremy Pino for some time, and his name has come up again.

The Reds made contact with Villarreal’s playmaker back in March. The Yellow Submarine has demanded that the £66.8 million (80 million euros) release clause be activated in order to sell their star (El Desmarque).

Fichajes, a Spanish news outlet, recently reported that several Premier League clubs are preparing bids for Pino, with Liverpool and Manchester City being the most interested.

Chelsea and Arsenal are also interested in signing the youngster, who is also on the radar of other European clubs.

The 19-year-old can play in a variety of attacking positions, but he has primarily excelled on Unai Emery’s right flank.

Last season, the teen sensation started 21 games in the Spanish La Liga and contributed directly to 10 goals (6 goals and 4 assists).

Due to an ankle injury, he was unable to play in the final month of the season and was on the treatment table when Liverpool defeated El Madrigal in the Champions League semi-finals.

Luis Enrique gave him the opportunity to play for the senior national team based on his outstanding performances for Villarreal. So far, he has made four appearances for La Roja, including one start, and has scored one goal and assisted on another.

Situation at Anfield

Liverpool’s first choice right winger is none other than Egyptian superstar, Mohamed Salah. He was fantastic against Man City in the Community Shield contest and is irreplaceable in Klopp’s squad.

Fortunately, the former Chelsea man has been super fit but the the squad must be prepared. Currently, there is no one to cover for the African star on the right flank and therefore, the depth must be improved.
