Liverpool’s interest in Jude Bellingham is not new, but the club could surprise the world by bringing him to Anfield before the end of the season.

According to reports, Liverpool and Jude Bellingham could reach an agreement “in weeks.”

Borussia Dortmund has made it clear that the super talented English teenager will not be allowed to leave the club this summer, but the Reds may be able to sign him in the future.

He’s worth around £103 million and would significantly improve Jurgen Klopp’s options in central midfield.

What the Reds lack in midfield is a high-quality right central midfielder capable of dictating play and storming the box, as Georginio Wijnaldum did with Emre Can and Jordan Henderson in 2016.

Liverpool has been linked with a move for Jude Bellingham, but an agreement could be reached in January.

For the majority of the summer window, the Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the highly coveted midfielder.

Such a high-profile target will take time to convince, but the latest reports suggest Liverpool is making moves behind the scenes.

Bellingham will remain at Dortmund this summer, but what about next season? He could be on his way out of Anfield.

According to Football Insider, sources have told them that Liverpool is confident of landing the young superstar and that a deal could be completed ‘within weeks.’

According to the publication, if Liverpool and Bellingham can reach an agreement, Reds fans may not have to wait until next summer, with a January transfer possible.

A deal being completed this early in the season is not unusual for Liverpool.

Since Jurgen Klopp took over, the club has moved quickly to sign the majority of its players, and the behind-the-scenes work has contributed to major signings such as Thiago, Darwin Nunez, and Virgil van Dijk.

In his brief career, the 19-year-old has already demonstrated a high level of quality.

His experience level is incredible for a player his age, having already played over 90 games for Borussia Dortmund. Not to mention the impact he has on games.

His versatility and quality in each of the midfield positions (N.6/N.8/N.10) are truly remarkable.

This could allow Klopp to rotate, switch formations, or simply strengthen his 4-3-3.

Producing goals and assists from midfield could plug Liverpool’s only ‘weakness’ – a lack of goals from midfield – and Bellingham could certainly be the man to do so.
