The 56-cap Spain international has just received a £30 million price tag from Man United.

If Manchester United wants to sign Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata this summer, they must pay at least €35 million (£30 million).

According to AS (print edition August 14th, page 10), United is interested in the 29-year-old.

Before the summer transfer window closes, Erik ten Hag needs to bring a world-class center forward to Old Trafford.

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club is uncertain, and Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial’s ability to lead the line for Manchester United is still up for debate.

And it appears that the Red Devils have one option in particular that would not cost a fortune.

Manchester United told fee needed for Alvaro Morata

Spanish publication AS has claimed that United can sign the ex-Chelsea striker for just £30m this summer. He may not be Ten Hag’s first choice, but he wouldn’t be a terrible option, that’s for sure.

The 56-capped Spain international has bagged 180 goals in 494 career games. He is a proven goalscorer at the very highest level and always plays off the shoulder of the last defender.

Just be aware that Morata struggled greatly while playing for Chelsea in England. In 72 games for the Blues, the striker scored just 24 goals before being quickly transferred to Atleti.

The robust, physical, and intense nature of the English game simply didn’t suit the Spaniard’s physicality. Morata shouldn’t be United manager Ten Hag’s top priority, as was previously stated.

Bringing the Atletico striker to Old Trafford on a short-term deal wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world if the Dutchman can’t get deals for his priority targets through the board.
