Phil Foden will debut a daring new hairstyle in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Following the weekend’s postponements, Manchester City returns to competitive action for the first time in a week.

Following the death of Her Majesty The Queen, the Premier League decided to postpone all fixtures over the weekend as a mark of respect.

The Premier League champions’ crucial match against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham was postponed as a result.

This week, Manchester City will return to action in the same competition that they last played a competitive fixture – the Champions League.

That last appearance on the field came in Spain, as Manchester City cruised to a 0-4 away win against Sevilla, in a game that featured a brace from Erling Haaland.

Another player who was on the scoresheet was Phil Foden, who impressed onlookers with a commanding and creative performance from the right wing.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund, the England international has unveiled a bold new hair transformation that he will be hoping will help him set alight the Etihad surface with goals and assists.

As featured on the Instagram page of renowned celebrity barber HD Cutz, Phil Foden will be sporting a special trim recognizing his iconic Manchester City shirt number.

Etched into the back of the Stockport-born forward’s head are the numbers ’47’.

While Foden himself certainly seemed pleased with the end product, some on social media have been left in shock.

“We have our Pogba,” wrote one user on Twitter.

Another user went harder, stating, “This is so embarrassing.”

Other, however, was more complimentary of the new look on Foden.

One user wrote, “Proper baller,” while another said, “Looks magnificent.”

Haircuts aside, Phil Foden will be wanting to build on his impressive performance in Spain last week by guiding Manchester City to two wins out of a possible two in their latest Champions League group stage campaign.
