Maunel Neuer now publicly urges ‘crazy’ player to join Bayern, amid rumours Liverpool want to sign him

Germany captain Manuel Neuer has urged reported Liverpool transfer target Youssoufa Moukoko to join Bayern Munich.

Transfer talk surrounding Moukoko has recently been heating up, as he enters the final seven months of his contract.

One of the clubs most heavily linked with Moukoko has been Liverpool. However, as one of the top German prospects, you can believe that Bayern is sniffing around him, too.

Today, ahead of the imminent World Cup, Moukoko joined Bayern’s Neuer at a press conference. As per Goal, when asked about his contract situation, the 17-year-old played something of a straight bat.

“I feel very comfortable in Dortmund, I can feel the coach’s trust. In the end, you’ll find out whether I’m staying or not,” said the striker. To which Neuer leaned over and ‘very clearly’ said “Come to Bayern!”

Cheeky!

As one of the youngest players set to feature at the World Cup, Moukoko would be one to watch in any scenario.

But given the links to Liverpool, Reds fans will be eager to get a look at him. The teenager has been in good form for Dortmund this season, scoring six times in 22 games. You can see why the forward’s talent was labeled as being ‘crazy’ by teammate Emre Can via Fansided.

It’s his all-around game that is most impressive, though. Indeed, Moukoko, who turns eighteen on Sunday, could well be the perfect player for Jurgen Klopp.

Due to his contract situation, it’s also apparent that Dortmund may need to sell their No.18 in January.

If a good offer should come in from elsewhere, you’d think they’d have to consider it at the very least. Should they ignore the market completely, they run the risk of losing Moukoko for nothing in the summer.

For a club that prides itself on flipping huge profits on young players, that would really sting Dortmund,.

Of course, there’s still the possibility that Moukoko resists the likes of Liverpool and Bayern and stays on at the club he’s been at since he was twelve.

What he does over the next month or so for Germany could have a big bearing on that. With plenty of Bayern representation in the camp along with Neuer, Liverpool may have to accept that they’ll be one step behind on this one.
