KEY ARSENAL PLAYER HAS JUST PICKED UP AN INJURY, SPOTTED LIMPING ONTO TEAM BUS

Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has been spotted limping onto Norway’s team bus, raising concerns about his health.

The Gunners were five points clear at the top of the Premier League table heading into the World Cup break.

Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, William Saliba, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus have all left Mikel Arteta’s squad.

All of those players will be in World Cup action and Arteta just has to cross his fingers that they will all return to North London unscathed.

ARSENAL PLAYMAKER MARTIN ODEGAARD HAS PICKED UP AN INJURY SCARE

Whilst most players will be glad for a little bit of time off, others are heading to play friendlies for their countries.

Martin Odegaard is one such player.

Arsenal’s captain is also the skipper of the Norway side and he has been called up for action against Ireland and Finland.

After beating Ireland 2-1 on Thursday night, Norway took on Finland today and played out a 1-1 draw.

There is now a level of concern for Arsenal though as Odegaard has picked up an injury.

ABC Nyheter in Norway reported that Odegaard took a hit to his ankle towards the end of the clash with neighbors Finland.

They also claim that Odegaard didn’t appear for an interview in the mixed zone after the full-time whistle and was seen limping onto the team bus.

It’s unclear just how serious this injury is and the natural feeling is to just assume that Odegaard has enough time to recover and get himself back in time for Arsenal’s next Premier League game next month.

Ankle issues can be niggling though and sometimes lead to repeated issues down the line.

Arsenal will hope that isn’t the case and will now be awaiting news on Odegaard’s injury, hopefully with a positive update to come.
