Liverpool transfer round-up:19 years old player warning sent as AC Milan offer tabled

Liverpool has made a number of preparations ahead of the January transfer window, and they are set to compete with Premier League rivals for the signings of Jude Bellingham and Ismael Bennacer.

Liverpool could spend big again in January, with Jurgen Klopp looking to get the Reds back on track.

The Merseyside club had a disastrous first half of the season before the domestic season was interrupted by the World Cup. Liverpool could look to the transfer market to help them climb the table, with the window opening in less than a month.

The Reds have never been afraid to spend heavily in January – their acquisition of Colombian winger Luis Diaz from Porto 12 months ago is a prime example. A number of players have been linked with following him to Anfield already.

Reds sent Bellingham a warning

Borussia Dortmund managing director Carsten Cramer has warned Liverpool they will not be getting a “gift” of a discounted Jude Bellingham.

As quoted by Vietnam News, he said: “We have a high sympathy for Liverpool for sure. We are still in a good relationship with Jurgen and many others at Liverpool, so for me, it’s my preferred club in the EPL as well.

“But don’t expect that we will make gifts to Liverpool.”

Bellingham has been linked with a move to Anfield on numerous occasions in the past.

Reds table Bennacer offer

Whilst Bellingham is expected to cost a fair amount, a cheaper alternative could potentially be AC Milan playmaker Ismael Bennacer. The Algerian is reportedly being chased by a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Reports in Italy have claimed that the Reds have already tabled an offer for Bennacer ahead of the January transfer window. Corriere dello Sport suggests that Liverpool has offered him a contract that could potentially see him earn €3.5m-€4m (£3m-£3.4m) per season.

The midfielder has just a year and a half left on his current deal at the San Siro so AC Milan could be tempted to sell.

Darwin Nunez tracked by Real Madrid

Despite Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez having only arrived at Anfield in the summer, it appears that he already has admirers. According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid have the former Benfica man on their shortlist of potential attacking signings.

The Spanish club is looking for reinforcements following the injury suffered by Karim Benzema on the eve of the World Cup. Gabriel Jesus, Cody Gakpo, and Richarlison are all also apparently being tracked by the reigning European champions.
