According to reports, major European clubs believe their scorer is poised to go as Newcastle table a massive bid.

Newcastle United wants Youssoufa Moukoko, but Borussia Dortmund is unwilling to grant him a reasonable release clause in a new contract.

According to 90Min, Dortmund believes Moukoko’s departure is becoming more likely.

Moukoko’s contract expires at the conclusion of the season, and Dortmund and Moukoko have yet to reach an agreement on an extension.

Moukoko is said to seek €200,000 per week (£175,000 per week) to continue with Dortmund beyond the end of the season.

According to the source, Moukoko’s representatives want a release clause as part of the deal, similar to what Dortmund gave Erling Haaland.

The two sides can’t agree on a price, and with Dortmund offering just over €100,000 a week, teams like Newcastle have a good chance of landing a deal.

NEWCASTLE IS NOW WORKING HARD TO GET YOUSSOUFA MOUKOKO.
Newcastle appears to be the most interested party right now.

According to the London Evening Standard, Newcastle has made a substantial verbal offer to Moukoko worth more than £150,000 per week.

Chelsea and Barcelona are both interested in Moukoko but Newcastle is thought to be in a great position to win the race for his signature.

Adding Moukoko to Alexander Isak could give Newcastle two of the most exciting strikers in Europe for the next 10 years.

Who could have seen this coming when Steve Bruce was scrapping around to try and sign Hamza Choudhury on loan?

Moukoko, 18, has cemented his reputation as a wonderkid with six goals in just 14 Bundesliga games this season.

Newcastle clearly sees enormous potential in Moukoko and now believes a move to St James’ Park is a real possibility.

Whether Moukoko will demand a similar release clause from Newcastle remains to be seen, or whether Newcastle would even be open to such a deal.

Yet with Newcastle now offering huge wages to the teenager, the prospect of signing one of the world’s top young strikers is growing and growing.
