The 21-year-old was handed his senior United debut against Charlton Athletic in their Carabao Cup quarter-final on Tuesday night.
Despite only entering the field with five minutes of normal time left, Pellistri had an impressive display, setting up Marcus Rashford to double their advantage in a 3-0 win for the home side.
His performance earned him glowing reviews from manager Erik ten Hag.
Respected transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that the club will meet with Pellistri’s agent to discuss the player’s future.
Romano tweeted: “Manchester United will meet with Facundo Pellistri’s agent this week to make a decision on the future of the Uruguayan talent after his good performance in the last game.
“Loan proposals already received but Man Utd wants to decide together with Pellistri.”
Will Pellistri continue to play for Manchester United?
Pellistri’s future has been uncertain due to a lack of playing time under Ten Hag, having failed to make a single appearance before Tuesday.
Back in November, Pellistri’s agent Edgardo Lasalvia claimed that his player was likely to leave United at the next available opportunity.
With talks scheduled for this week, a decision is expected to be made regarding his future, with plenty of clubs sniffing around should he become available on loan, or permanently.
Pallister: Man Utd debut was ‘amazing’
“I had the luck to be at Old Trafford in other squads, but unluckily I didn’t enter the pitch to play. I looked at the crowd and all the time I thought ‘when will my moment arrive to play?’ And today was the day and I enjoyed it a lot.”
“Yes of course [I was eager to play],” he added.
“I am very happy, and I want to help my teammates to achieve all the trophies that we have in mind and to win every game we have because this is an incredible club and very big.
“Every player wants to play, and I, for one, want to play more. I will struggle and train hard to keep this going.”
