Tim Vickery claims an Arsenal transfer target would ‘fit Aston Villa.’

Tim Vickery says Arsenal transfer target Luiz Henrique would ‘fit Aston Villa’ and he is someone that is ‘tearing it up’ at Real Betis, as he told Transfer Talk on Sky Sports News (26/01/23 at 12:25 pm).

The South American football expert thinks the physically strong forward is made for the Premier League, with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal keen to take him on board.

Less than a week remains until the January transfer window slams shut and it wouldn’t be a surprise if both Villa and Arsenal are pretty busy during these next few days.

Villa probably needs the forward more than the current Premier League leaders because they have just added Leandro Trossard to their ranks, plus, they are looking for depth, not someone to come in and start.

Emery is looking for starters and players that can elevate the forward line ahead of a European push during the second half of the season.

If either club were to land Henrique’s talents, then what type of player is he? Well, South American expert Tim Vickery shared his thoughts on the rising Brazil star.

“He’s a beast,” said Vickery. “He’s from Fluminense, who have applied a whole host of strikers, especially right-wingers, to European football.

“He’s left-footed. Very strong. Physically strong. He played on the right wing over here (in Brazil), cutting in onto the stronger left foot, but he has a right foot as well, so he can go the outside.

“Hugely physically strong. He is tearing it up with Betis. You look at him and you think that’s a player for the Premier League.

“I would like it to happen and I think he could be a fit for Villa. I think he is a player you can acquire him. It’s always a risk bringing in a player from a different country and of a different culture. But Luiz Henrique has got everything to set the Premier League on fire.”

HENRIQUE WOULD BE A TOP PURCHASE FOR A VILLA

The Midlands side already has Real Betis’ number on speed dial after securing a deal for Alex Moreno this month, so if they really want Henrique, then they know exactly who to call.

After selling Danny Ings to West Ham United, Villa is in need of extra quality and depth in the forward areas.

Rising Colombian star Jhon Duran has arrived from the MLS and has been thrown straight into first-team training, but more is needed.

Therefore, an addition like Henrique would certainly help this ever-improving Villa side that looks far better than it did under Steven Gerrard only a few months ago.
