According to a Sky Sports reporter, Daniel Levy “would like” Tottenham to make a summer move for the £25 million star.

If Everton is relegated, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy may ‘like’ to sign England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Spurs are looking for a new goalkeeper with Hugo Lloris reaching the age of 36, and Pickford could be brought to Hotspur Way.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Jordan Pickford
In an interview with GIVEMESPORT earlier this week, journalist Ryan Taylor suggested that Everton might have to consider accepting offers for their £25 million goalkeeper, who has yet to commit to a new contract.

According to Transfermarkt, the 50-time England international’s current contract expires at the end of next season, and it appears unlikely that he would be willing to extend his stay at Goodison Park given the club’s current relegation battle.

A slew of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea, are said to be interested in signing the shot-stopper, so Tottenham will face stiff competition if they want to bring him to Hotspur Way. (The Daily Mail)

What has Michael Bridge said about Jordan Pickford?

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT about the 28-year-old’s future, Bridge seemed to suggest that Levy may try to capitalize on Everton going down to the Championship should they not turn around their form in the second half of the season.

The journalist said: “I think if Everton gets relegated, Daniel Levy would like the England goalkeeper, maybe as an option. People throw names at me and I don’t think I’d rule anyone out at this stage, I think they will all be considered, so it’s one to look out for in the summer.”

Would Jordan Pickford be an upgrade on Hugo Lloris?

Lloris has been a fantastic servant to Tottenham, making a total of 442 appearances for the club, as per Transfermarkt, however more and more mistakes have started to creep into his game, and it is time Antonio Conte started thinking about a long-term replacement.

The Frenchman has made four errors leading to goals in the Premier League this season, twice as many as any other player in the top flight, and if Spurs do not replace him soon, then he is going to start costing them crucial points.

Pickford, on the other hand, has been a shining light in a very poor Everton team, averaging a match rating of 7.04 according to SofaScore, placing him fourth in the squad in terms of average performances, while also having a better save percentage than Spurs’ current keeper in the last year.
