After rejecting Everton, a Tottenham player has ‘left the club’ and is in talks with Arsenal in North London.

Perkins is well-known in the football world for his exceptional talent in recruiting young players while at Derby County, where he was instrumental in the development of many first-team players from the youth set-up.

Fabio Paratici, Tottenham’s managing director of football, and Steve Hitchen, the club’s former technical director, brought him to the club to identify and recruit the best young talent between the ages of 17 and 21 for the club’s academy.

However, just 18 months after joining Tottenham, Perkins was reportedly open to leaving the club, and according to the report, Everton was interested in bringing him back.

According to the report, Perkins has turned down the opportunity to return to the Merseyside club and is instead “ready to take up the job” with Arsenal.

Perkins’ new potential role at Arsenal will be to head up their academy recruitment and will begin in the coming month.

Arsenal places a strong emphasis on developing homegrown talent and has an impressive academy system, with players such as Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah, and Emile Smith Rowe becoming first-team regulars in recent years.

The club’s emphasis on youth development, as well as its upward trajectory under Mikel Arteta’s leadership, make it an appealing destination for coaches, players, and club officials.

Everton, on the other hand, is entering a new era under Sean Dyche’s management and is currently languishing in 19th place in the Premier League.
