Leicester City may now complete four transfers following the confirmation of Tete’s signing.

The latest Leicester City transfer news from LeicestershireLive brings you a look at four deals Brendan Rodgers could do before the January deadline

Leicester City has completed their second January transfer window signing, but there is still much work to be done.

Victor Kristiansen and Tete have already arrived, with manager Brendan Rodgers looking for a center-back, another attacking option, and, if funds allow, a midfielder. Another defensive reinforcement is essential, but another forward would be greatly appreciated.

So City could still make two more signings and release two players to make room. The four deals that could be completed before the deadline are listed below.

Mr. Harry Souttar

The city has officially registered its interest in Stoke City’s £15 million center-back Harry Souttar.

The 6’6″ defender has excelled in the Championship and for Australia in the World Cup group stages this winter.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign a center-back as captain Jonny Evans continues to be out with injury, while Caglar Soyuncu has fallen down the pecking order this season.

Jack Harrison

City made a £20 million bid for Leeds winger Jack Harrison last week, and the Yorkshire club has yet to decide whether they will accept or reject it.

Brendan Rodgers mentioned last week that the club was trying to add “attacking options”, with the use of the plural raising eyebrows. Harrison would give Rodgers the versatility he wants in the attack.

He is a player Leicester have been watching for some time, and they have registered their interest in him in the past – without success.

Ayoze Perez

Now Tete has arrived, the door has opened for Ayoze Perez to make his departure from the King Power Stadium.

The Spaniard is out of contract in the summer, but now looks set to go out on loan in his native country. Villarreal has all but sealed a loan agreement, seeing off competition from La Liga rivals Real Betis.

Perez will leave on loan and then depart permanently when his contract expires at the end of June. The chances are he has played his last game in a Leicester shirt, ending three years at the club.

Jannik Vestergaard

Another fringe player who could leave before Tuesday’s deadline is Jannik Vestergaard.

Under manager Brendan Rodgers, the defender is out of favor. Wout Faes and Daniel Amartey have kept him out of the team, while Soyuncu is ahead of him. Wilfred Ndidi can fill in at center back when needed.

Vestergaard turned down a summer move to Fulham in order to fight for a starting spot at Leicester. It was a bad decision, and he may have to move on before the deadline on Tuesday. Germany is said to be interested in him.
