Jurgen Klopp refused to answer a journalist’s question following Wolves’ 3-0 win over Liverpool [video].

Wolves thrashed Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, adding to Liverpool’s woes.

Going into the match at Molineux Stadium, the Reds were winless in the Premier League in 2023.

And they were defeated 3-0 to continue their losing streak.

The Reds got off to a terrible start, falling behind by two goals after just 12 minutes.

Wolves got off to a flying start thanks to Joel Matip’s own goal and Craig Dawson’s first goal for his new club.

Liverpool improved after the break and had numerous chances to re-enter the game.

But their hopes of a comeback were dashed when Ruben Neves scored for the hosts in the 71st minute.

That proved to be the game’s final goal, as Liverpool suffered yet another defeat.

Jurgen Klopp clashes with a journalist following Wolves’ 3-0 victory. Liverpool
Klopp addressed the media following his team’s defeat.

He was happy to answer the majority of the room’s questions, but he refused to answer The Athletic’s James Pearce’s.

“That has been a theme of the season: starting so slowly,” Pearce asked Klopp. Is it a mental issue? Does the fact that you’ve started the game so slowly after a week on the training pitch make you reconsider how you prepare for games?”

Klopp had no intention of responding to the question.

“It’s very difficult to talk to you: I’m going to be completely honest,” he replied. I’d rather not do that. You understand why. For everything you wrote.

“If someone else asks that question, I’ll answer it.”

Another journalist in the room then repeated the question, which Klopp gladly answered.

“That’s correct,” he said. That was a theme throughout the first half of the season. Not so much anymore, but it was the pinnacle of our problems at the time. It is not permitted in a game like this.

“You are free to criticize, judge, and say whatever you want, and you are probably correct. I have nothing to say about it. Because these 12 minutes are strictly prohibited.

“Coming here with everything we’ve done in the last few days… And then you get here, and this is the result. That is extremely difficult for me to accept.”

“These 12 minutes were the worst in a long time,” he added.

When is Liverpool’s next game?
Liverpool is still in 10th place and in danger of finishing outside the top four.

They will try to get back on track when they face fierce rivals Everton on February 13.
