After Newcastle United’s draw, West Ham’s manager delivers a four-word verdict on St James’s Park.

Newcastle had their fourth draw in five league games, extending their unbeaten run in the top flight to 16 games. Callum Wilson put The Magpies ahead early on and ended his goal drought just moments after Joe Willock’s goal was ruled out by VAR.

West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta, who was linked with a move to Newcastle last summer, equalized to end the Magpies’ run of six Premier League games without conceding. In the second half, the hosts had chances to retake the lead through Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin, but the score remained 1-1.

“It’s a great point for us,” Moyes said following the game. “We did well today. I’m overjoyed for the players.”We could have given up. This place is right on top of you right now.”

“We played well today and deserved to get back in the game,” Moyes said of Paqueta’s equalizer. There are numerous advantages for us.”

“We had two or three chances or moments where we could have scored the second goal, but I was pleased with how we controlled the game at different points.

“Newcastle is currently playing very well, but we did as well today.”

Newcastle is now fourth in the table, one point behind Manchester United, while West Ham is 16th, one point above the relegation zone.
