Tottenham is ‘at the front of the queue’ for a game-changing double deal, with

Tottenham have been linked with Oblak for some time as they look for a replacement for current starter Hugo Lloris. For many years, the Slovenian international has been regarded as one of the best in the world in his position.

This season, Lloris has come under fire for a number of errors. Besides, he is of an age where Tottenham may need to let him go.

As a result, Tottenham could complete a high-profile swoop for Oblak, whose future with Atletico is uncertain despite being under contract until 2028.

Spurs are also interested in winger Carrasco, who is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has now responded enthusiastically to the rumors, particularly in the case of Oblak.

“Oblak would be an incredible signing,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“I’ve been a long-time admirer of his. He is the next-level goalkeeper that the Spurs require.

“Oblak has been a key figure in Atletico Madrid’s recent success. I’m surprised his name isn’t associated with more Premier League clubs.

“It would be even better if they could get Oblak and Carrasco. The two clubs clearly have a strong relationship.

“If Oblak and Carrasco are available and eager to join Spurs in the Premier League, Spurs should be first in line.”

Tottenham sows the seeds of Atletico Madrid’s business.
It remains to be seen how much Tottenham will be willing to pay for the pair. They are both accomplished players, particularly Oblak.

Tottenham and Atletico Madrid appear to be on good terms, as Robinson mentioned in his interview. Spurs recently allowed Matt Doherty to join the club on a free transfer from the Spanish capital.

It came after Spurs sold Kieran Trippier to Los Rojiblancos a few years before.

As a result, they may have paved the way for future deals between the two clubs. And if Tottenham can sign Oblak and Carrasco, they will reap the benefits.

Neither player has previously appeared in the Premier League, but they have built solid reputations in Spain. If the Spurs can get their hands on them, it will give them a boost.

Robinson, a former goalkeeper, is well-placed to recommend Oblak as a smart target. In reality, the 30-year-old is of such caliber that only those who have played in his position can recognize his talent.

Spurs fans will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on any developments regarding the pair’s potential signing.
