Eight Nottingham Forest players will miss the crucial Premier League match against West Ham, according

Nottingham Forest is set to be without eight players for their trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham United on Saturday, according to Ben Dinnery.

Scott McKenna and Willy Boly are long-term absentees from Steve Cooper’s plans and will not return until April and May respectively (Premier Injuries website).

Taiwo Awoniyi will also be unavailable with Dinnery not expecting the Nigerian to return to action until March. It’s a similar situation for Moussa Niakhate and Dean Henderson, who are both not expected to feature until next month.

Giulian Biancone, Omar Richards, and Cheikhou Kouyate are all sidelined with long-term injuries and won’t feature against the Hammers.

Big squad

Considering the size of Cooper’s squad, it’s not a huge surprise to see many players missing. Luckily for the Nottingham Forest boss, he still has a number of options to call upon. The former Swansea boss has worked wonders since taking the job in the East Midlands, particularly after Forest’s poor start to the season.

They will provide a highly stern test of the Hammers and it’s hard to envisage this being a comfortable afternoon for David Moyes. The West Ham boss is now under immense pressure as he looks to steer his side away from the bottom three.

The Irons’ results last weekend put them in the relegation zone on merit, and a defeat against Forest could prove fatal for Moyes.

ExWHUemployee claims West Ham manager could be fired if the Hammers fail to beat Forest on Saturday afternoon. In recent months, the board has been a staunch supporter of their man, but the threat of relegation is simply too great to ignore.
