‘I’m not sure why he’s not playing,’ says the coach. The Spurs’ 22-year-old youngster did not make

Jamie O’Hara has told TalkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur youngster Oliver Skipp did not start against Sheffield United.

Skipp put in arguably his best performance in a Spurs shirt against Chelsea on Sunday.

With a stunning long-range effort, the 22-year-old scored his first goal for the club. But he was relegated to the bench last night as Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup.

Tottenham was defeated 1-0 at Bramall Line by Pape Matar Sarr and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the middle of the park.

And O’Hara is baffled as to why Skipp was not in the starting lineup from last night.

Skipp’s decision is called into question by O’Hara.
“I don’t know why he’s not playing,” O’Hara said on TalkSPORT. I’m not sure why he’s not playing!”

Skipp came on for Sarr with 15 minutes remaining in the game, but he had little time to make an impact, and Spurs conceded the game-winning goal just minutes later.

Sarr has played well this season, but it’s difficult to understand why so many changes were made for such a crucial game.

The Spurs youngster has been outstanding since his introduction earlier this month, and while Sarr has also impressed, he was unable to make an impact last night.

Tottenham had enough quality on the field to win, but resting players like Harry Kane, Cristian Romero, and even Skipp proved a costly mistake.

Spurs have now missed yet another opportunity to end their long wait for silverware, and while the blame will fall on the players, the team selection should also be blamed.
