Everton reportedly wants £7.9million if they are to part ways with striker Neal Maupay after a slow start to life at Goodison Park.

According to Aspor [28 March], even though he moved from Brighton just this summer, the Toffees are willing to cut their losses on the 26-year-old.

Salernitana is keen on signing the striker while recently even Fenerbahce’s name has been thrown into the mix.

Even when he was being signed, there were many fans who questioned the logic behind going for a striker that struggled at Brighton.

Given the number of chances that the Seagulls created, Maupay’s output did not line up and it seemed like the South coast side got the better end of the deal.

Since joining Everton, the Frenchman has just scored one goal in 946 minutes of football amassed over 20 appearances.

After losing Richarlison, Maupay is whom the Everton board brought in to give Frank Lampard a chance against battling relegation.

The sooner he’s off their wage bill the better, but it’s important that they invest the money correctly on a proper striker.

Beto’s name has been mentioned and he seems to fit the bill for what Sean Dyche wants from a striker this is a move that could happen if the finances are right.
